Move-Out Checklist (Smooth Refund)

his checklist helps you reduce deductions and speed up refund processing.

Before inspection (recommended)

  • Give move-out notice as per agreement
     
  • Clear all pending dues and keep receipts:
     
    • electricity
       
    • water / gas / internet (if applicable)
       
    • society/association dues (if any)
       
  • Remove all personal items and clean the flat properly
     
  • Fix small issues you caused (often cheaper than deductions):
     
    • broken fittings
       
    • minor damages
       
    • missing accessories
       
  • Ensure all appliances (if any) are in working condition

During handover

  • Attend the joint move-out inspection
     
  • Sign the Move-Out Condition Report
     
  • Return all access items:
     
    • keys
       
    • remotes
       
    • access cards/fobs
       
    • mailbox key (if any)
       
  • Share forwarding address and bank details (if required)

To avoid delays

  • Don’t leave bill closures pending
     
  • Keep move-in photos ready for comparison
     
  • Return all access items on the same day of handover
